Your mid-term is scheduled for class on Feb 27, 2014. You will need to purchase a green/blue book from the bookstore for your exam.
Format
The format of your exam will have a three part structure.
Part one will consist of a combination of matching, multiple choice, and identification. These will all be objective questions and focus on factual information from the class, the reading, and the discussions. (to be answered on mid-term paper)
Part two will be short answer questions. By short answer, I mean two or three sentences answering the question. These questions will ask you to demonstrate that you understand a concept. Again, this is mostly objective, but becomes subjective since I want you to answer in your own words. An example question might ask you to define or explain a certain concept that we have discussed in class. (to be answered in blue book)
Finally, part three will be essay. The first two parts will be relatively short so that you can write a good in-class essay. I will give you a couple (2-3) prompts. You will select and answer one question.
